and Spiritual Friendship

 

The Day after Halloween is All Soul’s Day:

A time when the veil between the worlds is thin

and people from time immemorial have gathered

to honor their connections with one another,

with the ancestors, and with the forces that maintain life.

 

If you have a Halloween Costume, or mask and would like to wear it

That would be splendid – but don’t worry if you don’t

Join us for whatever part of the day feels right.

(Please let us know by Saturday Oct 31st at noon so we can plan food.)

 

11 am - Noon : A Quaker Style Meeting

around the Hearth or the Medicine Wheel

with Music, A Reflective Reading, Time for Silence,

Sharing from the Silence, and Closing Song

(Feel free to bring pictures of your ancestors for the altar)

 

12:15-12:30  Gratitude Circle

around the Apacheta on the Cliff (weather permitting) or around the Hearth

(If you’d like to add a stone to the Apacheta, feel free to bring one)

 

12:30 – 2:00  Pot Luck Lunch

We will have a big pot of Minestrone Soup, Focaccia Bread,

a Big Salad, and a Pumpkin Pie.

Feel free to bring whatever you’d like to add to the meal

 

2:15 – 3:00 Walk in Mill Road Preserve

A Beautiful Old Growth Beech Forest,

just 5 minutes away from our home on Mill Road

 

WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU INTO OUR HOME

AND GETTING TO KNOW YOU BETTER

AND HAVING YOU MEET ONE ANOTHER!

 

FAMILIES ARE WELCOME AFTER NOON.

There is no charge for this community event.

Your contribution of food for the lunch is appreciated, but not essential - Please come even if you don't have time to make something!
