This monthly group will explore Celtic Spirituality through the insightful book: The Mist-Filled Path: Celtic Wisdom for Exiles, Wanderers, and Seekers by Frank MacEowen.

Celtic Spirituality is an ancient European tradition that is deeply connected to nature, and grounded in a wholesome hospitality to individuality, community, the unseen world, creativity, feminine values, healing and transformational living. Many people who are drawn to Native American Spirituality may not realize that every culture has their own indigenous tradition.  We do not have to appropriate Native tradition when we find our own.

When I first read this book, my immediate response was "This is my path! At last!" The book is available through Anam Cara ($15.95), and you are welcome to call and talk to me about this in more detail. This will be an experiential study circle for people who want to go deep in exploring this path. Commitment is essential.  Celtic background is not necessary as the insights of this book shed light on the indigenous spirituality of all cultures.

The circle will begin with a full day retreat in September & will meet monthly for 10 Sundays in Mattituck. Please call Jeanne Merkel if you are interested. I am open to revising meeting times to meet the group’s needs.

The cost is: $60 for 2 Retreat Days, and $20 per regular session, $80 for closing overnight retreat. ($60 Deposit, the rest payable monthly.) Commitment to the full program is absolutely necessary as other people are committing themselves to this deep group process.

This group was first offered in September 2004, and it has been a wonderful journey we have taken together.  The original group unanimously agreeed to continue with Frank MacEowen's second book, "The Spiral of Memory and Belonging."  and is now in their third year together with a Soul Work Intensive.
