Explore the Celtic Wheel of the Year and the festivals that celebrate the cycles of the seasons and the sacredness of the natural order. These festivals are found in various forms in all religious traditions, and we feel strongly that they represent a unity within the diversity of religious expression.

This program can be offered as a one day workshop that introduces participants to the Wheel of the Year and its festivals.

We also welcome participation in the individual festivals, whenever there are individuals or groups who would like to participate.

We celebrate these festivals in a contemplative way through retreat days that allow you the opportunity to develop a deep relationship to the land, to Spirit and to community.  Our days include times of solitude, ritual, sharing and celebration - and always - good healthy food!

We could also celebrate them as an intergenerational family event of 2-3 hours duration, with age-appropriate craft activities for your children.

The Celtic Year is Marked by the 4 major Cross Points:

Spring Equinox - March 21-23
Summer Solstice - June 21-23
Fall Equinox - September 21-23
Winter Solstice - December 21-23

and the Cross Quarter Holidays of:

Brigid's Day (Candlemas)  - February 1
Beltaine  - May Day - May 1
Lughnasadh - August 1 Beginning of the Harvest
Samhein  - Halloween - October 31 & All Souls Day - Nov. 1

All holidays begin the evening before at Sundown.

Let us know if you would like to be involved!

Tending the Inner Fire:

Coming Home to the Hearth of Your Solitude

A Fireside Retreat in Honor of Brigid’s Day with Jeanne Marie

Brigid is the Celtic Goddess of the Hearth, Hospitality, Healing and Creativity.  We will gather in her honor in front of a blazing fire at Jeanne's home in Mattituck, as we learn the age-old art of tending the fire, both inner and outer.  This will be a day of mindfulness, self care, and a celebration of the riches of solitude.  We will have time for both silence and sharing. Bring a journal & warm clothes if you’d like to walk in the woods, or out to the cliff overlooking the Sound.  A nourishing lunch will be served at the hearth.

The fee for the retreat is $60.  I am willing to barter and do sliding scale, so that all who wish can experience this day of nourishment.
