Dear Friends,
What a delightful beginning to the New Year! In January I went with
a dear friend to a dance therapy workshop at Antioch College and it was a true joy to be moving creatively with a wonderful
group of women. Dance has always been a source of Spiritual nourishment for me, and it was such a treat to learn new ways
to share it with others. I particularly love free-style Spirit dancing — “Dance that Invites the Soul to Fully Inhabit the Body.” -
a dance that is accessible to all people, whatever their experience or physical limitations. I am looking for a large space for a dance group - let me know if you have one or know of one.
As Spring returns, remember
that life too is a dance, and so I encourage you to inhabit your life fully—the joy and the pain—Love it all—Love
what is. Last year about this time, I began to work with a Holistic Health Counselor,
Anneva Hackley. I decided it was time to begin taking better care of my body,
and I found that changing my diet was also incredibly empowering to my soul. I
experienced such a renewal of energy and freedom of movement and Spirit. And
so, I’ve asked Anneva to come and give some talks at Anam Cara, to help you reclaim a healthy relation to your Body and Spirit. I hope you will join us.
Join us also for an Earth
Day Fairy House Workshop and free up your inner child. And now “Let the wild rumpus start!” (My favorite line
from “Where the Wild Things are by Maurice Sendak). May you romp and rumpus
into your Spring with a fullness of Spirit.
With Blessings & Affection,
Jeanne Marie
