 Depression is a common experience for many people. Some of us experience periodic bouts of depression and some have struggled with chronic depression for many years.

Unfortunately in our culture, we push away these difficult times and pathologize the experience, rather than finding meaning in it.

 The spiritual traditions of many cultures have ways of understanding and working with these dark times that are deeply healing. As we place our lives in the sacred context of spiritual growth, we can find these times to be rich experiences of transformation and grace: of dying to the old, remaining in the pregnant void of unknowing, and reintegrating into new life. They can deepen our rootedness in life and in our soul purpose. Join us for a compassionate exploration of the healing possibilities!

When I first offered this workshop in Dec 2006, there were over 30 people interested, though not all could make it.  It was a very moving experience to share these insights with people in the depth of their journeys, and it was well received. Please let me know if you are interested. I will offer it whenever I have 4 people willing to commit to a date.

Jeanne is also available for Spiritual Counseling that can address some of these issues.  It is not intended as psychotherapy, but as spiritual support for the journey.
