One of the
greatest gifts of forming Anam Cara Center has been having the privilege of walking with so many beautiful
and inspiring people on their spiritual journeys. The sacred community that we have grown together is grounded
in sacred seeing - in seeing one another on a soul level and affirming and bearing witness to the strength, beauty and
grace that we see in one another.
Each person
who has written to me to affirm my work, has been a precious mentor and inspirer to me, without whom I could not do the
work that I am privileged to do - and so the circle of gratitude is complete.
I offer these
letters of gratitude in honor of these brave and beautiful souls who have enriched my life with their integrity and wisdom.
May each person who reads these words find a mirror of your own hidden depths and longings, and find the courage
and inspiration to bring your beautiful souls to full flowering in sacred & beloved community with us.
Bien Floricimiento

My daughter and I had such a wonderful retreat at your home. I thank you for
an experience that was warming, enlightning and eye-opening! I didn't know what to expect, and , quite honestly, it
blew me away!! I loved the sense of communal cooperation and respect that it brought, and the wonderful reminder that, although
my life is very hustle bustle most of the time, I can still return to a soul level, it is always there. Our thanks for
that wonderful gift, Jeanne. You truly are a "Soul Friend."

I want to thank
you for your prayerful and grounded presence for us today on the “mist filled path”! Your capacity to distill what you perceive and bring it to others in writing, art and in your programs
is inspiring to me.
Your grounded
presence inspires trust in my process and inspiration that I may again feel my own power and joy as I take my steps into
the future.

Thank you for providing a consistent
sanctuary and strengthening our spirits... and for bringing back to me much wonder and joy and a new sense of optimism and safety and hope. I just can’t thank you enough for all that you do and all that you are. Thanks again for another beautifully sensitive session and a refreshing day.
The altar stays with me, brimming with color and life. You are wonderful
and we are all blessed.

Thank you for your wonderful (New
Year's) message. Your depth always touches me in a nurturing way, and helps me
to stay focused on what is most important. I know your new year, and probably
all of your years will continue to support your reaching out to those who are hungry for the gifts you bring. You are a blessing on this earth.

Thank you
so much for leading us all in Owen’s baby blessing, it was just as we’d hoped.
We are so grateful for the time, effort and thought you put in to helping us create a special and most sacred ceremony.
We will never forget how everyone stood and sang “This Little Light of Mine” to our sweet little baby –
we can’t wait to tell him all about it. None of it would have been possible
without you! You are a true master at ritual, Jeanne, and
it is such important work. Thank you for sharing your passions with us and the
world.

Thanks for being a good listener and a soft presence in my life!

I was delighted to receive your
newsletter, and your note. It will be so good to be in your wonderful home again. It is where I found courage to change
my life, and quite a change it has been so far. Love you
and am so glad you will be continuing to weave magical threads through our lives.

Our Full-Moon Walk
For Jeanne Merkel
The moon,
hanging low and radiant
like a shining pearl
in its ancient mystery
and splendor hung
from the neck of night.
as on that wonderful eve,
we walked and skittered
across an empty beach.
In the excited silence,
we believed together
in our unspoken peace.
By, Andrew Gregg
Andrew was a member of my Youth Group at the First Universalist Church of Southold - the first group I
took on a Full Moon Walk. He wrote this poem in 1998, as a gift to me, in honor of my leaving to begin my
studies at Union Theological Seminary. It has always been precious to me.
May it inspire you to go outside on moonlit night and let Grandmother Moon weave her magic in your heart
and soul!
